To apply for the student visa you must be firstly accepted by the German university. It is therefore important that you meet the admission requirements before applying to the university. On receiving the acceptance from the university it is recommended you apply for a student visa at least 3 months in advance before going to Germany. You must apply at the German Embassy in India online or in person. Make sure to carry required documents - application form, passport, acceptance letter from the university, photographs, academic transcript and financial proof. You must also get a health insurance. I am not too sure if I can insert every detail here. Admission requirements differs with universities and countries. Most universities require not more than two backlogs per sem.If you have a backlog Germany will be impossible as academic records is the most important factor. Improving your grades considerably if you have backlogs is crucial.

Hi,
First of all it is difficult for an international student to obtain a seat for free of cost. You may look for scholarships. Your grades are good but the universities offering scholarship will consider applicants with grades as high as 95%. You can still apply.
