Hello Dear,
A score of 217 is very less for admission into MBBS courses in private colleges. You can either try for management/NRI seats or you have to repeat NEET.

Yes, as per the directives of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, its mandatory for all medical aspirants to appear the all India common entrance examination called NEET for admission into MBBS BDS and other allied courses.

CMC is coming under a national eligibility test. They used to conduct their own entrance before that. For general category the score goes as high as 600/720. In OBC category you may expect around 550.

Hi Janhavi,
With 300 marks and general category, it is difficult to get free government MBBS seat. But, if you have category benefits, then there are chances. Also, you can get MBBS seat in management quota and deemed universities. If not MBBS, than you can apply for BDS or BAMS or any branch of your choice.

Yes. NIOS students are allowed for NEET examinations as per the directives of Hon'ble Delhi High Court.
