The Campus Amala Institute of Medical Sciences is located on a large, peaceful campus that is reachable by road every day of the year. Students have access to enough facilities, such as the Sports Club, Arts Club, Fitness Club, etc. , for extracurricular activities.
Playground
On campus, there are distinct playgrounds for football, basketball, and volleyball. Every year in January or February, the "Double Dribble" Father Jose Sales Memorial Basketball Tournament is held.

270 boys can be housed in the hostel in the "Chavara" building overall. With a combined capacity of 466 Girls, the "Math" Building can house 150 Girls, the "Devamatha" Building can house 236 Girls, and the "Devamatha Annexe" can house 80 Girls.

ELIGIBILITY - passing of the higher secondary Certificate examination (12 years course), senior school Certificate examination (10, +2) pre-degree examination (10, +2), or an equivalent with 12 years of education from a recognised board or university with a Science major Physics Chemistry Biology).
A candidate for the B.Sc. (Nursing) degree course must have reached the age of 17 at the time of admission or will do so by December 31 of the admission year, whichever comes first. Candidates selection-The College selection committee will compile a list of qualified applicants based on their merit and interview performance.The admission is conditional and subject to the rules set forth by the Supreme Court, the Tamilnadu Government, the Indian Nursing Council, the Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives Council, and the Tamilnadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University.At the time of admission, the college and dorm costs should be paid. A Certificate of eligibility should be produced as well, if necessary.

Following are the facilities available in this college:
1. Library - Geeta Israni Library is the name of the college library. It is on the ground floor of the college building. The E- Granthalay Software has totally computerised the library. Users can find books by author, subject, or title using the E-Granthalay Library website. Software that supports barcode technology speeds up transactions and achieves accuracy. The library has a sizable collection of books, including encyclopaedias, dictionaries, European and British pharmacopoeias, the Merck Index, Martindale, volumes from the Marcel Dekker Series, and open learning series.
2. Laboratories - The institution includes large, brightly lit laboratories with excellent electrical and hidden plumbing facilities. All laboratories receive centralised vacuum. All laboratories are outfitted with high-quality tools, apparatus, and fire suppression systems. Each laboratory has a prep area, workstations, lockers, storage areas, and gas and water fittings. The school's third-floor modern computer centre offers 20 PCs with contemporary settings and 20 MBPS of high-speed internet.
3. Computer lab - Microsoft Windows Server Standard 2012R2 manages the lab's computing infrastructure. The user's computing environment is controlled by 20 instances of the computing Thin Client N220 via the computing Server Management Console.
4. Seminar hall - A big seminar hall is also available for students to interact with director or registrar
5. Animal housing - Animal housing is available for pharmacology department.

Selection to any of the PG courses offered by the university is subject to merit on the basis of marks obtained in graduation and on relevant subject(s). Further, sitting for a counselling session is required for the final selection of candidates. Candidates applying for PG courses must possess graduate degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. While general candidates are required to score at least 50% marks in their last qualifying exam, SC/ST candidates are required to score 45%. Undergraduate (UG) courses:
With Biology Chemistry and Physics as the three main courses studied in class XII and an overall score of at least 50%, X and XII qualifications from a recognised educational board are the minimal requirements for pursuing a UG in Emergency Medical Technology. Additionally recognised as significant subjects in class XII are Botany, Computer Science, Biochemistry, and Zoology by several institutions and universities. Postgraduate courses (PG): The fundamental eligibility requirements for pursuing a PG in Emergency Medical Technology are completion of a graduation or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university, with an overall score of at least 55%. MBBS B.A. MS BSMS BHMS BUMS BNYS BDS BPT B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Emergency Care and Trauma Care and Technology or its Equivalent DHMS, and P. B.Sc. Nursing are among the degrees that are acceptable.
