Dear Omityah, I have no idea about the UGC recognition of the Indian Institute of Counselling but being alumni of Lovely Professional University I can say that LPU is UGC recognised. National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) can be the best option. NIOS is providing a number of Vocational, Life Enrichment and community oriented courses besides General and Academic Courses at Secondary and Senior Secondary level. NIOS is an autonomous organisation in pursuance of National Policy on Education 1986 by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. On demand exam of NIOS is for students who have cleared board through recognised board can also take admission in 1 or up to 4 subjects to upgrade their grades. This exam is also for the students who appeared for the public exam but could not clear it or one who could not appear in the exam. There will be no exam in April, May, October and November due to the public Board exam. NIOS on Demand Exams are conducted throughout the year and students can apply it whenever they are ready for exams. Exams are conducted in English and Hindi medium only. But students are allowed to answer the questions in the regional medium also. But candidates will not be provided questions appear in any regional language. Eligibility : The minimum age of students to apply for senior secondary exam must be 15 or above. One who have completed Secondary course from recognised board is only eligible for senior secondary exam. IOS on Demand Exam registration process : First candidate need to visit NIOS. AC. In and register through OTP on mobile or email. The details are to be filled by candidates and have to upload all the required documents. Ext is to add subjects for which you appeared in board exam and also add subjects for which you need to give exam through NIOS on Demand Exam.
