The first requirement to open a chemist shop/pharmacy is to be a Pharmacist and registering with Pharmacy Council of India. However, it is advisable for you to visit the website of Pharmacy Council Of India (http://pci.nic.in/) for all the requirements, as these requirements might change time to time.

As per UPSC notification, below mentioned is the criteria for Medical Officer (Gazetted Post):
Educational Qualification:
For admission to the exam, a candidate should have passed the written and practical parts of the final MBBS Examination
A candidate who has appeared or has yet to appear at the final MBBS Exam may also apply. Universities abroad offer scholarship on the merit basis, you can visit any university website but for medical studies, it's going to be very competitive. You can also check organizations like Aga Khan Foundation, Inlaks Shivadasani Scholarship, Commonwealth Scholarships, Erasmus Mindy's, etc.

Hi,
B. Pharm is necessary for getting the Licence for chemist shop. You need to do B.Pharma which is a two year course and you may do it from any Govt approved University in your area which provides this education. For getting entry into B.Pharma you need to pass XIIth in the science stream. If you need to open the medical shop urgently then the other option is to open the shop in the name of some other person who is a B. Pharma and then when you complete your B.Pharma you can get it transferred in your name.
