Hi Preeti,
There are no black and white answers to this question. It depends on the individual, the quality of the medical college he went to, his enthusiasm and interest in the subject and his subsequent engagement in class and college.
One thing does stand out - medicine is going to get hyper-competitive going forward. There are many AIIMS being set up in India and many medical colleges are being upgraded. This would result in an intellectual arms race where only the most diligent would get placements in cities and top centres. More and more niches would open up going forward.

Hi Nayan,
In order to be eligible for medical course (MBBS) from abroad, you have to fulfill the following admission requirements :
* Academic Records - At least 85% and above in PCB in class 12th.
* Applicant's essay * Medical College Admission Test scores* Extracurricular activities* Summer Occupations* Life experiences* Experience in the health field, including research or community work* Letters of evaluation
Once you have fulfilled the above requirements, you would be eligible to apply to any top university in the foreign country.

Studying in medical college is costly. Starting from the academic fee to the hostel and mess cost, everything is expensive. Average flow per seat was around Rs. 65 Lacs till 2015.
Basically, you would have to shell out anything between Rs. 50 Lacs to Rs. 75 Lacs depending on the college.
