There are paramedical courses after the 10th when students opt for various certificate and Diploma courses such as Medical Lab Technology, X-ray Technician, General Duty Assistant, and Operation Theater Technician.

All these courses usually last between 6 months to 2 years. Any individual whose pass in the 10th standard is recognized, with a few institutions setting up a minimum percentage as a requirement, will be eligible for these courses. Paramedical courses provide an entry-level job at hospitals and diagnostic or health care facilities: technicians and other support staff for health service activity.

You cannot get admission into MBBS course at any Medical College without clearing the NEET Entrance Exam. Even for admission in Private Medical Colleges you need atleast 150 marks out of 720 in NEET. However you can join MBBS directly if you go abroad.
