To apply to NC State MEM course, the applicants are required to have the following:
- An UG degree
- The university also considers applicants from Science backgrounds, not just Engineering backgrounds. To succeed in most entry-level courses, the students should have some background in Mathematics and Statistics

Applicants who wish to study MEM at US Universities must have a good academic profile and meet all the necessary requirements to get admission.
