Hello Hemanth, Normally speaking, chemical branch is considered better than metallurgical branch. Irrespective of the college. But considering the newer developments required to sustain e vehicle push into our country as well as across the world, it is believed that metallurgy may again find sunshine. You can go for NIT surathkal EEE than metallurgy at IIT Roorkee as it has better scope than metallurgy.

See placement depends on various factors. Other thing is that in NIT Jamshedpur, average package of CSE branch is below 5 Lacs. So I don't think initially you can expect that much. May be after few years of experience you can expect that much amount in metallurgy. It also depends on how much skills you will acquire.
