NIT Trichy is better than the colleges which have the working field for the core jobs like NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Raipur, etc. Because the activities provided at NIT Trichy will overpower that. Hope it helps.

National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFT) is Best it is a government college situated in Ranchi Jharkhand. It comes under JoSAA counseling and one can get admission by doing choice filling in JoSAA counseling. The package is decent in NIFT and good government companies visit the campus for mechanical and metallurgical engineers.

Debating about NIT Srinagar and Amrita Coimbatore, NIT Srinagar is far much better college than Amrita Coimbatore in terms of placements, company visited, infrastructure, campus, facilities and activities. If you are getting mechanical branch in NIT Srinagar, then I think you should take a seat in that college only as compared to Amrita Coimbatore Mechanical. So the choice is in your hands. Good luck. You can get admission based on your Diploma under the lateral mode of admission. For this, you need to check the website of the dte of tech education of your state.
