Indian Army does not have Met branch. However, both Indian Air Force and Indian Navy has requirement of Met officers. You can apply against advertisement of Met branch of both the arms.

Hi,
Meteorologist jobs in India can be at very different levels and there are huge career prospect for a qualified meteorologist. The prospective fields for a meteorologist are:
Daily weather forecasting. Daily weather forecasting is very important for Govt departments like Agriculture and some other offices.
Each and every airport has a Met office(meteorology office) adjacent to it for time to time weather and visibility forecasting which require qualified meteorologists.
Indian Meteorological department.
Atmospheric research
Teaching
