Hi,
Your Xth and XIIth class can be in any stream if you want to pursue BA and MA in Geography with a specialization.You can also check the curriculum details from the websites of some colleges like LPU clearly states the eligibility and the curriculum. You can check the same from the website of Lady Sri Ram College.
The online admissions are on so better be fast in deciding.

I would say that the scope of population studies is quite wide. Now-a-days, the population geography has become an independent sub field of human geography. In my opinion, population studies can be a nice field under geography.
