As far as I know, since biotechnology is a practical subject you don't have an option of the distance programme. Microbiology likewise is also a practical subject. So, you will have to go for the regular classes, that might be a different matter that the amount of attendance can be low.

I think you have to strictly focus on yours B.Sc Microbiology instead of looking for some short term useful courses. Because these courses can distract you from the original goal. B.Sc.
