For admission in St. Xavier's College, Kolkata with B.sc Honours in microbiology, you must have Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

There is a national entrance test. For M.Sc. There are subject-wise tests. You probably need to be among the national top 50 to actually get in. (I had rank 12. )
If you're accepted then the procedure is quite straight forward. You simply need to go there, submit your certificates and marksheets, done.
2. MSU, Baroda
There is a national entrance test followed by an interview (for those who fulfil a certain minimum cut-off as decided by the university). Getting into MSU won't be as tough as getting into BHU though. Admission procedure is similar, nothing specifically different. St. Xaviers College, Mumbai
