Both fields are very good, and offer a number of attractive job opportunities. Although Bio-technology is ranked a bit higher because of its unlimited applications in the fields of medical, pharmacy, agriculture and others. Also it is one of the fastly emerging fields all over the world, but on the other hand demands a very scientific and research oriented nature. Also Postgraduate degrees like M.Phil. And Ph.D. is a good option in Bio-technology, but with Microbiology you can easily find a job after BS.
