 A 10+2 Diploma is required of candidates, with physics and math as required courses and chemistry, biology, computer science, and electronics as electives.  Qualifying examination scores must be at least 45% overall (or 40% for designated categories).  Scores on entrance exams determine admission:

 *KCET*: Forty-five percent of seats; *COMEDK UGET*: thirty percent; and *Management Quota*: twenty-five percent.

Depending on the concentration and entrance category, the total costs for MITE's four-year B.E./B.Tech programme range from ?3.86 Lacs to ?10.46 lakh.  Computer science, electronics, mechanical, civil engineering, and more recent disciplines like robotics and artificial intelligence are among the specializations.  Entrance tests like KCET, COMEDK UGET, or JEE Main are used to determine admission.
