Hi there!!
MMS focuses more on theoretical aspects of management and is more exam-oriented, PGDM has a focus on building soft skills and is industry-oriented. It prepares you for the job market. Since an autonomous institute does not have to follow university standards, it is free to change its curriculum according to industry standards and change in business environment. Also a PGDM gives you an industry exposure. So, I would suggest you to go for PGDM course from some reputed institute to have better placement opportunities after completeion on the course.

Master of Management Studies is offered by Xavier Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai but MMS in operation is not offered by this college.

Hello! Yes, MBA and MMS degrees are practically the same. Just that, MMS is given by Mumbai University whereas MBA is given by the universities across India.

Hi,
MMS is a general management program affiliated to the University of Mumbai. It has four semesters spanning over a period of two years. "Operations" is in their syllabus.
Admission:
Admissions to the 2 year full time MMS Degree Program takes place through the centralized admission procedure laid down by the DTE Mumbai, Maharashtra State.
Eligibility:
Final year appearing or Minimum 50% Marks in Graduation (10+2+3) any stream or B.E. and Compulsory cleared Entrance Test -CET, CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, and MAT).

The placement of XIMR for finance ( especially) is not the best for ROI. The general opinion is in the negatives. It's not the best, but it's not the worst.
