The requirement for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) programs in India varied depending on the state and university. No, candidates will not become a medical doctor (MD or MBBS) after completing a Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) program. MPT is a postgraduate degree programme in Physiotherapy, and it does not confer the title of doctor in the same sense as medical doctors (physicians).
If one’s goal is to become a medical doctor, one would need to pursue a medical degree through a medical school program, which is separate from physiotherapy education. If their interest lies in Physiotherapy and rehabilitation, then an MPT programme is the appropriate educational pathway to follow.
