Yes, definitely you can go for Masters in Social Work. This is a completely different stream than that of Hotel Management. It is a two year programme. Scopes associated with it are-
Medical Social Worker. Substance Abuse Counselor. Child Welfare Case Worker. School Social Worker. Clinical Mental Health Social Worker.

Yes you're eligible for MSW in Visva Bharathi University. You need to read NCERT's social books classes from 6th-12th for basics then read current affairs daily and prepare a chart with glimpses of main events of history, geography, economics, civics books of India and foreign countries.
