Aspirants need to pass a minimum of Class 12 or ITI Certificate after Class 10 to apply for NIELIT Imphal O level course. Candidates must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, aspirants also need to qualify NIELIT Entrance Exam to become eligible for admission.

NIELIT Imphal offers nearly 30 short-term certificate courses. Some are NSQF aligned while others are customised short-term courses. Below are some of the short-term programmes offered at NIELIT Imphal:

• Certification Course in Data Entry and Office Automation
• Basics of Computers & Office Automation (NECB 2.0)
• Big Data Analytics (NECB 2.0)
• Machine Learning using Python (NECB 2.0), etc.

NIELIT Imphal offers long-term degree and Diploma programmes at UG as well as PG level. The duration of these programmes ranges from one year to four years. Besides, the institute also offers short-term and non-formal courses. The institute also offers short-term digital literacy programmes to educate people about basic computer and internet usage.

Topper students and students securing high marks in the university exams are awarded scholarship every year. Students of NIELIT Imphal have to access to various scholarships extended by UGC, North Eastern Council (NEC), State Governments and NIELIT Society.

Candidates need to complete Class 12 to apply for BCA, O Level, and other courses. National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Imphal has a specified a minimum aggregate for 50% for most of the courses. The NIELIT 2024 theory exam for O/A/B/C levels is scheduled to be conducted on Aug 3, 2024, to Aug 7, 2024. The results for the July cycle is expected to be out in October. 

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Imphal admission considers NIELIT Entrance Exam score for admission to non-formal courses. NIELIT Exam is conducted on all Indian levels twice in a year. The institute also accepts CUET-PG score for admission to MCA. For most of the formal courses, the selection is based on an admission test conducted by the institute. Besides, the selection is merit-based for short-term programmes.

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Imphal offers admission to most of the formal courses based on admission test conducted by the institute. The selection for short-term courses is based on merit of the candidates in the last qualifying exam. Aspirants applying for non-formal long-term courses need to qualify NIELIT Entrance Exam for admission. 

The latest cutoff information for admission to M.Sc at NIELIT Imphal requires candidates to have qualified with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in any of the following degrees from a recognised university:

1.  Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with Mathematics/ Computer Science/Statistics as one of the subjects.
2.  Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA).

Additionally, candidates must pass the admission test covering Mathematics at the XII standard and general aptitude at the graduate level.
