IIEST, Shibpur for sure. The placements at IIEST, Shibpur has always been better than that of NIT, Durgapur. And with each passing year, the placements are getting better. Hello Aranyo, Placements at NIT's are always better. Production engineering has perhaps wider application than chemical engineering and hence consequent opportunities are more in production. But ultimately it's hard work that counts.

Let me tell you one thing, only core NIT's have good placement all other are also fine, but not as good compared to VIT University, because VIT University offers good placements in CSE, IT, ECE branch and as compared to NIT Durgapur. Chemical branch is not up to the marks, because in the end branch does matter, so it is better to take VIT.
