If you want to take admission in NIT, Durgapur or any of other campus of NIT, then you have to appear in JEE Mains and on the basis of rank and marks, you can get admission into NIT by the counselling process JOSSA.

As you wish to do Ph.D, I hope the following list of colleges would provide you a better base:
1) BITS Pilani
2) Delhi Technological University
3) Anna University, Chennai.
4) BITS Mesra
5) Jadavpur University, Kolkata
6) Thapar University, Patiala
7) Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai

In my view, National Institute of Technology, Durgapur is far better than HBTU in every aspect one can think of, be it placement, education or faculty.
HBTU has once been associated with AKTU colleges and none of the AKTU colleges could compete with even the worst of the NITs.

NITs are always a better choice over any private college due to the reputation and best in class facilities, however, PSG College is also a very good college, but it is better to go with NIT.

Necessary Marks depend upon cutoff but Computer Science is trending branch so its closing rank is lowest for every NIT. So, you should score minimum 200 for CSE.
