The cutoff percentile for admission to Chemical and Electrical Engineering branches in various colleges and universities can vary from year to year, depending on several factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats. However, in general, to get admission to these branches under the general category, one should aim to score at least above 90 percentile or more in the relevant entrance exams, such as JEE Main or JEE Advanced.

It is difficult to predict the exact branch you might get based on your percentile score, as it depends on various factors such as the number of applicants, the category you belong to, and the cut-off for each branch. However, based on the previous year's opening and closing ranks, you may have a chance to get into the following branches at NIT-RKL:
Civil Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics and Communication Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
Mining Engineering.

In my opinion NIT Rourkela is one of the best colleges in the NIT branches. It has a lot of good placements.

First of all very congratulations for securing 132 marks. In 132 marks, your percentile will be around 96-97 and CRL will be around 35000-45000. Now if your home state is Odisha, then there is most probably chance that you can get there and infact with god branch, but if you are from other state, then there is little bit low chance from previous one but maximum possibility is that you can get seat there but in this case branch may be not of your choice.

Also with a category rank of around 8000, it will be hard for you to get a seat in any NITs IIITs and GFTIs for core branches such as CSE, ECE, etc. For that much rank you have to secure atleast 99+ and 97+ percentile score ( change depending upon exact conditions). .

Student must score in the top 99th percentile to qualify into the computer science branch. It's just a straightforward mathematical computation here. 1 percentile indicates that 1 percent of the students scored higher than you. A percentile of 99 indicates that, out of the 10 lakh students who took the JEE Mains exam, about 10000 students scored higher than you. If we add up all the seats in all the NITs for this branch, there aren't as many left.
