"NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology will release 6-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech +M.Techin Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:
- The JEE Main score of the candidate
- The category of the candidate
- The number of seats available in the course
Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released."

Yes, if you have home state quota you may get. In case of NIT Durgapur, people got Chemical, Civil, Biotechnology till the 7th round of counseling but many got even Mechanical in the spot round with rank of 35000 at NIT Durgapur. So stay optimistic.

For last year, the closing rank for Integrated BSc + MSc in Chemistry was 54745 which is very close to this range. This was for General category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission. However, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to various courses at NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category under All India, opening rank was 25494 and closing rank was 43498. Cut offs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 25048 and 59818. Admission to BTech +M.Techin Chemical Engineering at NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exams like JEE. Applicants are advised to first confirm the category in which they are applying and then check the cut-offs.

The cutoff trend for the BTech at NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology is seen to be decreasing in recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under the General category for all India quota was 48630. In 2022, it decreased to 41669. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 59378 to 52928 for OBC, 147690 to 140794 for SC, 208976 to 143477 for ST, 55149 to 54081 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for Engineering education in India continues to grow. A similar cut-off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

However, the cut offs keeps changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to BTech in Ceramic Engineering at NIT Rourkela.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Biotechnology at NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology for other than General category are - 51154 for OBC, 97614 for SC, 1649 for ST, 49797 for EWS, and 1974 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
