 NUJS will provide 100% employment to its outgoing batches for the past few years. On the other hand, although many great lawyers, judges and associates in firms are alumni of Faculty of Law, CU there is a lack of alumni connect. So students have to put in a lot more effort for to get internships.  On campus placements are not held in CU, students face uncertainty as to employment. Further due to the manner of teaching and the limited nature of curriculum, students from CU mostly have to go into litigation unless they equip themselves for other career options through external training courses.

There are ample number of activities which one can take part in. Students can take part in internal university rounds for debating and mooting, and participate in various prestigious moot courts and debates based on the rank that they acquire. First year students are always encouraged to try their hand in different events. There are numerous other events which take place in the university where one can take part which include but are not limited to poster painting, music, art, dance and poetry slam. Academic writing is also encouraged and students can send their papers and articles to journals or present them at a paper presentation. If one becomes a member of the NUJS Law Review, JILS or any other academic organization, they will be specifically trained and mentored by seniors who are accomplished in the field of academic writing.

Yes, the size of our campus is not much but being at the heart of Kolkata we have access to all sorts of entertainment and of course good food! In-campus infrastructure is significantly improving as I write this, with wifi throughout the campus and air-conditioning (except hostels), the Kolkata humidity won't trouble you much. Administration is also efficient and most of the communications happen through emails.
