Having completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga and Naturopathy from AAFT Online, I can say the combined Diploma gives far more career exposure than a standalone Yoga Science diploma. It equips you with both yogic practices and natural healing therapies like hydrotherapy and diet therapy, opening doors to roles like Naturopathy Consultant, Wellness Coach, and Health Therapist — not just teaching. It also offers better earning potential and entrepreneurship opportunities. Highly recommend going for the combined diploma!

Candidates can see below why it is a good course –

  • As people become more health-conscious and struggle with lifestyle diseases (like diabetes, obesity, stress) demand for drug-free and natural treatments is rising.
  • It is recognised by the Ministry of AYUSH Government of India allowing you to use the title "Dr." (Doctor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences).
  • You can work in wellness resorts, hospitals, spas or start your own clinic.
  • Generally, you can get into the 5.5 - year BNYS course based on 10+2 (PCB) marks or institutional entrance exams without needing to clear NEET.
  • Starting salaries may be lower than MBBS but

Allopathy uses conventional and Science backed drugs and surgery to quickly treat symptoms.

Homeopathy treats "like with like" using highly diluted and natural substances to boost body's healing.

Naturopathy depends on natural therapies (diet, herbs, lifestyle) to fix root cause and prevent disease.

Hope it helped in solving your doubt! All the best!

Yes, Naturopathy graduates can pursue further studies in fields related to Physiotherapy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, or other Alternative Medicine courses.

More courses or certifications/bridge courses may be required based on the program, but this is a flexible option for graduates to expand their career options and gain expertise in complementary health systems.

The starting salary for a Naturopathy practitioner in India can be between INR 15,000 to INR 30,000 per month for an entry level position.

After gaining experience or having their private clinic, they could earn INR 50,000–INR 70,000 per month. There will be different salaries based on the region they work in, the type of institution and because of their additional skills which could include Yoga therapy, nutrition counseling, or any specialized therapies.

Yes, candidates who meet the eligibility requirements are free to seek to study Naturopathy at both private and governmental schools.
While private institutions usually provide flexible admission policies and extra amenities, government universities could have lower tuition and reservation restrictions. Applying to several universities improves selection chances and enables applicants to pick the best fit for their career aspirations.
