B.Sc in Eligibility Criteria:
* Candidate must have cleared 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognised board or university. * The candidate must be from the Science stream with compulsory subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. * The candidate must have scored a minimum aggregate score of least 60% (55% in some institutes) at 10+2 level. * Clearing an entrance exam conducted by the Maritime Institute as approved by the DGCA is mandatory in order to get admission. * There are a host of physical and medical requirements and tests that also need to be MET if a candidate wishes to pursue the course.

The admission procedure for B.Sc. In Nautical Science is not as simplistic as other undergraduate courses:
* First thing would be to shortlist a maritime institute or college that matches your location, financial capabilities, and other relevant preferences. * Next step would be to clear the entrance exam (if any) as conducted by the university or college. * The test is followed by a string of medical tests and psychometric examinations to assess the candidate's physical feasibility for the course. * Once the candidate clears all the tests, he or she may need to undergo a brief pre-sea training programme before admission is confirmed.

You should opt for Masters as PG Diploma is not that much beneficial pg diploma is 6 month or 1 yr course where as master will be professional courses.

B.Sc (Nautical Science) is 3 years duration program with total intake of 120 at IMU Chennai campus. All admissions to the various UG and PG programmes of the IMU and its Affiliated Institutes will be through an all-India Online Common Entrance Tests (CETs) which will be conducted in the month of June 2019.
Registration Fee is Rs. 1000 for General candidates and Rs. 700 for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates.

So, you can visit the official websites of the colleges. If you are interested in to know when the forms will be released. After that you have to prepare for entrance exam depending on the college you want to take admission in. After qualifying the entrance exam, you have to qualify a personal interview. And, you will get admission for Nautical Science.

Hello Swapnil, Yes, of course you can. But, perhaps very few institutions will give you credit for already completed Diploma. I am afraid that you will have to start from first year again of the new course. Best wishes to you for this new Diploma.
