A score of 440 in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) might not be enough to secure an MBBS seat in a top medical college in Bangalore. To get into a top medical college in Karnataka, students generally need a score of 540-600 or higher.

Explanation

Seats for MBBS in Karnataka are allotted based on NEET scores and the preferences given by the applicants.

A score of 600–650 is generally required for a government MBBS seat.

A score of 650-700 is considered good for securing an MBBS seat.

It's unlikely that you'll be able to get admission to a government medical college for MBBS with 482 marks in NEET. The average score required to enroll in a government medical college is between 503 and 655.

Explanation

The minimum marks required for admission to MBBS in 2024-2025 are 720 for the General category, 161 for OBC, and 161 for SC/ST.

It depends on the NEET cut-off for the year and the college you're applying to.

The minimum marks required for NEET admission in 2024-2025 for the SC category is 161.

A score of 550-650 in NEET may be competitive enough to get a seat in a good government medical college.

You can check the NEET cut-off for your desired college and reservation category to see if you're eligible for admission.

You can use a NEET rank predictor tool to estimate your rank and determine your eligibility for admission.
