Accommodation

Other living expenses at University of Sydney:

• Applicants can put aside AUD 80-150 per week for entertainment and socialising. 
• A weekly Grocery bill for one person is usually between AUD 80- AUD 28.
• However the university provides lunch on campus but is expensive, costing AUD 10-15 each. 
• Students have access to public transport with an Opal card. International students are currently not eligible for concession tickets. 

The University of Sydney offers scholarship programme for Indian students, providing great financial assistance of up to AUD 40,000 for UG Courses specially designed for Indian citizens and residents who are international students but mainly Indian-originated. However, other scholarships for Indian and international students will assist students financially, up to AUD60,000 for PG courses. This scholarship aims to support the deserving individual with an unconditional admission offer to pursue a coursework degree. Don't forget to submit your application for this scholarship. However, the closing date has passed. Applicants shouldn't be disappointed as the university has various scholarship programs for international students, as they aim to build country relations. Check out the below table:

• The University’s Careers Centre provides career counseling services and other resources that enable students to be in the best career position by the end of their degree.
• Students can also access student entrepreneurship programs that equip them with the skills needed to accelerate their idea, career, or research.
• Research students can collaborate with startups, non-profits, and corporate organisations at Sydney Knowledge Hub.
