NIFT Preparation

The NIFT CAT exam will be administered in an offline mode and will be a drawing-based exam. During the course of the exam, the candidate is not allowed to write any personal details and place identification marks. The CAT exam will evaluate the candidate on parameters like intuitive ability, power of observation in concept development, and design ability. To prepare for the CAT the candidate needs to work on geometrical shapes, product drawing, line quality, shading, human figures, principles of composition, etc. To improve ones figure drawing skills, one may stick drawing, before moving on to block drawing, and then evolving to add clothes and other items.

1. In the CAT entrance exam, students will be judged on their creative ability, observation power, design ability, and extraordinary use of colours and illustration abilities.
2. The GAT will assess candidates' English proficiency, quantitative ability, listening ability, logical ability, general knowledge, and Current Affairs. 
3. The NIFT Situation Test 2023 will assess candidates' material handling and creative ability with a specific set of materials in a given situation.
4. Understand each round and then start your preparation.
5. Get familiar with the NIFT 2023 syllabus and exam pattern
6. Your exceptional design abilities and creativity will be ineffective if you cannot execute quickly. The main goal is to showcase your creativity and uniqueness in a short amount of time.
7. Sketching is vital. Your creativity and ideas require written expression. Keep your eraser hidden while you practice sketching. This will give you more confidence when sketching, and your lines will become bolder, sharper, and cleaner. To save time, draw with a light hand and outline the ideas without getting too detailed. When practising sketching, use appropriate supplies. If your drawing ability is lacking, enrol in a drawing class and practice.
