No, there is no GD round for selection to B. Des entrance in NIFT. Selection Criteria:
Admission is through counselling based on the cumulative score calculated on the basis of marks in CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test)/ SAT-1/Special NRI Test and Situation Test. Following weightage is given to various parameters
Written Test-80% (Creative Ability Test-50% and General Ability Test-30% or SAT-1/ Special NRI Test-80%)
Situation Test-20%. Regards.

1. You are brand manager of a casual apparel brand. How you can use social networking sites such as Facebook or Linkedin for the benefit of your brand.
2. What Challenges and Opportunities has Indian apparel sector has faced post recession?
3. If your brand is doing well in Metro cities, would it make sense to venture into the Tier-2 cities. How would the marketing mix ( product, price, place, promotion) be different there?
4. Should apparel brands go on discounts at all? Why? Why not?
5. Should there be any return policy for an apparel brand? Why? Why

There is no disadvantage of pursuing fashion communication from NIFT, Pune. NIFT is the premium institute in fashion studies in India. You can pursue a fashion course from any of its branches and you will get the same education quality and placements opportunities.

NIFT has not announced any date yet, but generally they declare their results in the month of March. So you can expect to see your results anytime soon now.

The entrance exam of M.Des programme in NIFT consists of GAT, CAT followed by a group discussion and an interview. There is no studio test for M.Des.
