With a percentile of 96 and a rank of 45852 in JEE Main it may be challenging to secure admission to the top National Institutes of Technology (NITs) or popular branches like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). However, there are still several good NITs and branches available where you may have a chance of admission. Here are a few NITs that you can consider based on your JEE Main rank:
1. NIT Agartala
2. NIT Durgapur
3. NIT Goa
4. NIT Hamirpur
5. NIT Jalandhar
6. NIT Kurukshetra

To determine your admission possibilities in NIT Surat or MNIT Jaipur, it's important to consider your JEE Main percentile, category, and previous year's cutoff trends. As an EWS (Economically Weaker Section) candidate with a percentile of 90.79, it is reasonably good score. However, please note that admission cutoffs can vary each year based on factors like the number of applicants, their performance, and the availability of seats. To get the most accurate and up-to-date information, it is recommended  to refer to the official websites of NIT Surat and MNIT Jaipur, as they publish cutoff ranks specific to different categories. Admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in India is based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main score. The cutoff percentile for admission varies each year and is determined by several factors, including the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats.
While a 90.4 percentile is a good score, it may not guarantee admission to the top-ranked NITs for general category candidates, especially for popular branches such as Computer Science, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. The cutoff percentile for admission can vary depending on the NIT and the specific branch.

No, the eligibility criteria for admission to IITs and NITs is based on the JEE-Main score and in IITs on the basis of JEE-Advance score. There is no percentage criteria for this session i.e. 2023-24. So as long as you fulfill the eligibility criteria for JEE-Main and JEE-Advance, you should be eligible for admission to IITs and NITs¹.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
