Offcourse both the institute offer the same courses and make you same degree that is of Bachelor in technology and by joining both these institutes they offer your good package after the degree but according to current studies iits are more often good from NIT as IIT's have been given to the students who get a good JEE rank and NIT is also given to students who are good in studies who qualified JEE Advanced but just students who get less rank are generally goes to NIT colleges but both these colleges are good and you can go anywhere but you should prefer IIT more.

Yes, you can get NITs or IIITs with your rank. All you need to do is some of these steps :
Your choices must include all the branches of NITs. You can omit some of the North Eastern NITs but you must include every branch of the central NITs. Wait till the very end of counselling. Most of the times you can get good NITs or IIITs in the 7th or Special round. Make a list of your choices and arrange it according to your preference and fill it accordingly. According to my prediction you can get a seat in a newly opened IIIT. If you are going to choose it please do check it's Mentor Institute because it can determine your campus life in the i

No one is going to tell you this but the fact is that in the next 4 years of your B.Tech, you want to enjoy and study. You do not want to waste those years in trying to do something that you are not even interested in. So to answer your question, if you are passionate about CSE, if you are interested in computers, just do not think twice and go for CSE in some new IIIT. You are getting the branch you want and moreover, it a IIIT. New old, it has a reputation, and moreover, there will be companies there for your placement too. Good JEE Main Score Rank to Secure Admission in NITs:
In order to secure admission in NITs through JEE Mains the good score for the same can be around 85 95 percentile. At the same time the candidates must feature among the top 15000 and 20000 ranks range to get admission in the top NITs
Cut off rank varies according to the branches. To get admission in IITs your rank should be under 9800 in general category
On a medium difficulty paper, a percentile of 97 to 98 can be expected with a score of 120 out of 300 in JEE Main. You can expect your score to be in the range of 22000 and 33000 if you are in this percentile.

No, you cannot get NITs, IIITs or GFTIs on the asked rank and category. Your category rank should not more than 3700 for getting admission in asked colleges.
