JEE Mains and you have to secure above 200 marks to get good NITs or IIITs. You have to take PCM in 12th and must clear the same with at least 75% to appear for IIT JEE. If you score less than 75% then you cant appear for JEE Mains. So, also reappear for 12th to appear for JEE Mains.

If you wish to pursue B.Tech then you'll have to write JEE Mains and if you wish to get M.Tech from NIT, you'll have to write GATE. Other than that, there is a scheme called DASA for NRI students admission into NITs.

Previously, All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) was the mode of getting admission in NITs, while IIT-JEE was the mode to get admission in IITs, but now both these entrance exams are replaced by a common exam called as JEE (Joint Entrance Examination).
