Yes, you are eligible to take admission in NIT. You need at least 75% in CBSE board exam.

You can try for lower NITs like eastern NITs, NIT Kashmir, and NIT Kurukshetra.

Yes, few north eastern NITs are very good compared to their state colleges like NIT-Silchar in Assam, NIT Sikkim, etc. In NIT, you will get more better infrastructure, platform, faculty, environment compared to the state colleges.
