Yes, few north eastern NITs are very good compared to their state colleges like NIT-Silchar in Assam, NIT Sikkim, etc. In NIT, you will get more better infrastructure, platform, faculty, environment compared to the state colleges.

The cutoff percentile is kept at 54.01 by JoSAA for seeking admission in NIT. If your percentile is this or better you can definitely bid for admission. There is very less chance to get CSE in good NIT. But, you can try for lower branch.
