I will suggest you to participate in the counselling process wisely and smartly and wait till the last round of the counselling. You might get an NIT. But to be in the safer side, apply for some other colleges also.

You can get seat in any of the NITs. It's better for you to appear JEE adv and upon your Adv rank you can join in IITs too.
