Both the choices you are considering are pretty well. So, you can approach in any direction, however I will suggest you to go for NITs only because government colleges do have bit of edge than a private colleges no matter how good it is. Best wishes.

If you are getting good NIT then you should go for that. Dual degree is also good option but doing B.Tech from NIT is far better than that.
