You won't get NIT with this rank. Try for government colleges.

Hello Manish,
As per your rank, you will surely get lower NITs but wait till the last phase of counseling, however, check here to know more:

Hello Shashikant,
You have very low or no chances to get a NIT or IIIT as your rank under SC category is 15000. You may get a college by your home state rank (if any colleges are in your state).

There is no any spot round from last year for admission in NITs. You have to go through the 7 rounds of counseling held by JoSSA.

Hello Ajay,
The ranks from 21,000-40,000 in general category can seek admission in any of the NITs but the ranks 40,000-2,20,000 can get under home state quota only.
Some NITs like Sikkim, Mizoram, Agartala, etc. have home state closing ranks till 10 lakhs but top NITs like Trichy, Warangal, etc. don't have them.

You will surely get NIT if 4000 is your general rank.
All the best.
Try till last round of JoSSA.
