Considering your category, you need to score around 100 marks in JEE Mains to get good NITs, however, considering IIITs, you need to score well in JEE Mains as it considers only JEE Mains score not JEE rank.

I would recommend you to go for NIT, whether it is low ranking because of its brand value.
