Hello Mani,
The ranks depend on the number of candidates appearing for the exam as well as their scores.
But however, If you have score of 250 and above, your rank would be good.
Your category rank would also be good for such a score if you belong to the reserved categories.

The placements for NIT-MCA are one of the best in the country. Students have bagged offers as high as 60 LPA and the placement percentage usually remains between 90% to 100%. However, this does not mean that you will get an offer in 7 digits salary. Placement packages vary from company to company.
Simply speaking, if you have studied at least what was taught in the class, have cgpa good enough to satisfy the Eligibility criteria of the companies, you have fair chances of getting a good enough job offer.
The MCA course at IIT Roorkee has sadly been discontinued since last year. Last few batches of MCA are going to pass out in the next c

Hello Naveen,
No, that is not possible. You might get a seat but not in the top NITs or may be not in your desired course.
Even if you belong to SC category, it is necessary to score above 150 to get a seat at the top NITs.

Hello,
It is good that you are preparing for JEE exams. And yes it is possible to get an NIT if you do the right amount of preparation in the available time.
As you belong to general category, you need to score at least above 250 to get a good NIT.
Besides reading, Practice more problems every day as you have very short span of time.
Read all the concepts well and revise the formulae everyday so that you can keep in touch.
Don't stress more. Have confidence in yourself.
All the best!

Hi Yuvraj,
To get admission into NIT's one must qualify and secure a good rank enough in the JEE Mains exam.
There's no direct admission in any of the NIT's.
Even with the category, one must need to qualify JEE Mains.

Hello Siddhehwar,
There are particular cut off marks based on your caste which decides the minimum marks required to clear the exam. It varies every year.
But generally to get admission into a top NIT, your score should be at least above 200. You would get admission on the basis of category ranks and hence, such a score is essential.

Hello Bhavya,
Yes, they are but it depends more on your efforts. The NCERT books are helpful in giving you a clear knowledge of the concepts and the basics, but it is necessary to have some other good books with which you can practice a lot of problems. Only if you practice more, you can perform better.
All the best.
