As per your JEE mains rank, you will get good nit's, so don't waste your time in dropping a year, continue with the NITs or IIITs, however check here to know more:

Hi,
To be eligible for admission in LNMIIT, you must have scored atleast 100 marks in JEE-Mains (which is the cut-off for appearing in Advance this year).
Cut-off for the year 2015:
CSE- 135
ME-132
MME-105
ECE -107
CCE- 120
For year 2014-
CSE- 147
MME-121
ECE -122
CCE- 131

Yes, there are chances that you might get into one of the NITs. Try for your home state NIT and then go for some low rank NIT's - NIT Hamirpur or NIT Srinagar. You might be able to get into these colleges. Else you'll have to go for regional engineering colleges.

The minimum score required in JEE Mains paper 2 to get into NITs is 300+
300+ score is considered in NITs and government colleges for admission in B.Arch.

No, it is not important to stay in hostel but you won't get any transport facility from the college side as well. You'll have to arrange that on your own. Moreover, college hostel is most convenient as per my experience till date.

Greetings from SHIKSHA.
Yes if you belong to General Category, then 75% is must required for doing B. architecture. So if have very much good score in JEE Paper 2 and not having 75 % in boards then you are not eligible for getting admission in IITs NITs IIITS.

Sorry, but your rank is too high. You scored 209 marks in JEE paper 2.
300+ marks are considered for admission for B.Arch in NITs. So, you should try in any private college.
You will definitely get admission in top private colleges.
