As you say you are from a ST category then I must say yes. You get a chance of having a lower NIT's or may be NITBhopal/kurukshetra if you are lucky.

Wait for 2nd and 3rd round, you'll definitely get any of the NITs.

Best of luck

Frankly speaking, chances for getting IITs, NITs and GFTIs are moderate on the percentile. You have to improve this up to 95 for more probability in upcoming JEE Main exams.

84 percentile is equivalent to 165679 - 120612 general category rank and the corresponding OBC rank is approximately 35000 - 40000. It will be quite difficult for you to get into NITs, IIITs or GFTIs. You may opt for private engineering colleges.

With this percentile it would be diificult for you to get into NITs. Rank will be alloted as per the number of students and category of the students for shortlisting the candidates. You should wait for the official announcement . Hope this helps.

Yes, it is nice but you can’t get any NITs because now a days, competition is very high.
Everyone is trying to get into NITs and IIITs, although there is a chance to get in GFFTIs and IIITs.
