Hi there,
You can earn top NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs for branches like mechanical, civil, ECE, etc. based on your JEE Mains rank. Due to high demand, fundamental courses like CSE and IT may not be available at the best NITs and IIITs.
You can choose from various more recent NITs and IIITs that offer core branches such as CSE, ECE, IT, and so on.
Kindly attend all JOSAA counseling rounds and the CSAB spot round to improve your chances of securing a higher seat.
You received a very good score and rank in JEE Mains. Try to select a seat carefully, wish you luck, and maintain your motivation.

In NITs, all SC and ST candidates don't need to pay any tuition fee. They need to pay only hostel fee of around INR 35000 per semester. Candidates can also get scholarship from centre and state governments.

EWS rank of 4997 in JEE Mains may not be enough to get into an NIT, as the rank should be less than 2000. However, admission to NITs also depends on other factors, such as reservation and the number of applicants. For example, newer NITs may accept candidates with a rank higher than 70,000.

Yes, you can get into NIT or Mit college with 80%.
If your percentile score is 80%, it appears thatyou will meet the cutoff for the OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories, but not for the General or EWS categories.
For General you woud be require 93 percentile and for EWS you woud be require 81 percentile.

With an OBC rank of 16995 in JEE Main, you have a good chance of getting admission to several National Institutes of Technology (NITs) for the B.Tech Civil Engineering program.
Some of the NITs where you are likely to get a seat with this rank include:
- NIT Rourkela
- NIT Warangal
- NIT Durgapur
- NIT Surathkal
- NIT Raipur
- NIT Kurukshetra
The exact allotment will depend on factors like the number of seats available, the competition, and the cut-offs in the particular year. But with a rank in the range of 16,000-20,000, you should be able to secure admission to a good NIT for Civil Engineering
