Both Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC) and Wallace State Community College offer Associate Degree in Medical Assisting programs, but NACC's programme is approved by the American Medical Technologists (AMT), while Wallace State's programme includes a Phlebotomy short certificate.

Northeast Alabama Community College can be considered a good option for international students. NACC have #15 student success rates in U.S. community college student success rates according to CNN Money. It offers quality education at affordable cost. The college has an open admission policy which is relatively accessbile to students.

However, there are some things to keep in mind. NACC does not provide financial aid for international students, making it essential for them to have sufficient funds to cover tuition and living expenses.

The Northeast Alabama Community College campus has no accommodation, and there are very few options for housing that is within walking distance. For an international student without family or connections in the area, this might be challenging. There are apartments within driving distance. The average monthly rent of staying off campus range between $600 to $1,200.
