Shifting abroad and starting a new chapter is not easy for an international student. Students must keep few things in mind to make their journey easy. Some of the tips for students starting their first semester at NAU are:
- Pack a lot of warm clothes
- Prepare yourself for the dining options
- Keep an open mind while studying at NAU. Try to take snowboarding classes and join the different clubs available for students
- Get to know your professors
- Stay calm and be excited as attending a college can sometimes be overwhelming, so take everything as it comes
- Stay involved as academics are important but make sure to take part in other college activities

Yes, NAU offers scholarships to international students. International Excellence Award is a merit-based tuition waiver offered to first-time undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking international students admitted to a university degree programme into Flagstaff campus.
- To be considered for this award, the applicants must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA at the time of consideration
- Students who meet the criteria for the scholarship are automatically considered for this scholarship once they submit the international student application. As such, no additional application is required

NAU application process for the bachelor’s degrees is given below:
Step 1: First of all, complete the online application by paying the application fee
Step 2: Submit all the documents such as transcripts, passport copy, academic transcripts, English language test scores, etc.

NAU application fee for bachelor's courses is USD 50 (Around INR 4,280) and the application fee for master's degree is USD 65 (Around INR 5,564). The applicants can apply to NAU by accessing the application link mentioned on the official website. Along with the application, the applicants are required to submit documents, such as passport copy, academic transcripts, English language proficiency test score, proof of financial support, etc.

According to the application requirements mentioned on the official website of Northern Arizona University, the following are the requirements for undergraduate international students:
