NSI Admission Test 2026 online regsitartion process for the acadmeic session 2026-2026 will be starting from third week of April 2026 tentatively on the official website. Candidates interested in pursing the PG Diploma courses offered by National Sugar Institute need to make registrations by filling out the NSI Admission Test application form 2026.

Yes, the scholarship had arrived, however, the last date to apply for scholarships was January 15, 2024. Students had to apply through the NSP 2.0 portal.

The Institute provides facilities for training the students in Sugar Technology, Sugar Engineering, Industrial
Fermentation and Alcohol Technology, etc. 

The maximum age limit for applying to the courses offered at NSI Institute for both Indian and foreign candidates is mentioned below:

  • For Indian candidates: 35 years (Maximum) as on July 1, 2025. Candidates born on or after 01.07.1988 only will be
    considered.
  • For Foreign Category Candidates: 38 years (Maximum) as on July 1, 2025. Candidates born on or after 01.07.1985
    only will be considered.

The purpose of conducting the NSI Admission Test is to select candidates for admission to various postgraduate Diploma and certificate courses in the field of food Science and technology at the National Sugar Institute (NSI) in Kanpur, India. 

There are 8 post graduate Diploma courses provided by the National Sugar Instititute. Out of that, 7 courses doesnot require any work experience for appearing in the NSI Admission Test 2026 examination. The minimum qualification required for pusuing ANSI (ST) Diploma course is as follow:

  1. First of all, the passing degree must be from recognized Institute/ School/ College/ Polytechnic/ University).
  2. An aspirant must pass their BSc with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or BSc (Sugar Science & Technology) awarded by SNSI, Belgavi or Graduation in Food Technology.

The age limit criterion for the NSI Admission Test is 35 years as on July 1st of the year of admission. This means that candidates who are born on or after July 2nd, 1987 are eligible to apply for the NSI Admission Test 2024.

There is no relaxation in the age limit criterion for any category of candidates.

Candidates are advised to check the NSI prospectus carefully before applying for the NSI Admission Test to ensure that they meet all of the eligibility criteria.
