NSI Admission Test

National Sugar Institute is yet to announce the NSI Admission Test 2025 notification. Follwoing the previous years trend, its is anticipated that the NSI Admission Test 2025 examination will be conducted in the third week of June 2025.

The NSI Admssion Test 2025 will be coducted for the following courses:

• P.G. Diploma Course of Associateship of National Sugar Institute in Sugar Technology [ANSI (ST)]
• P.G. Diploma Course of Associateship of National Sugar Institute in Sugar Engineering  [ANSI (SE)] 
• P. G. Diploma Course in Industrial Fermentation and Alcohol Technology [DIFAT]
• P.G. Diploma Course in Sugarcane Productivity & Maturity Management [ DSPMM]
• P.G. Diploma Course in Instrumentation & Process Control [DIPC]
• P. G. Diploma Course in Quality Control And Environmental Science [DQCES]
• Sugar Boiling Certificate Course [SBCC]
• Sugar Engineering Certificate Course [SECC] 
• Certificate Course in Quality Control [CCQC] 
• Fellowship of N.S.I. in Sugar Technology or Sugar Chemistry
• Fellowship of N.S.I. in Sugar Engineering
• Fellowship of N.S.I. in Fermentation Technology

National Sugar Institute will pe providing PG Diploma courses in Associateship of National Sugar Institute in Sugar Technology, Sugar Engineering, Industrial Fermentation and Alcohol Technology, Sugarcane Productivity and Maturity Management an dother Diploma courses. 

Interested applicants who wish to take enrolment in these courses need to apply online for the reggistartion process. NSI Admission Test 2026 appliaction process will be starting in the third week of April, 2026, tentatively. As per the previous years trend it is expected that the application portal will remain active for a month to do registrations. The last date for filling out the NSI Admission Test 2026 application form will be third week fo May 2026, tentatively.

NSI Admission Test 2026 online regsitartion process for the acadmeic session 2026-2026 will be starting from third week of April 2026 tentatively on the official website. Candidates interested in pursing the PG Diploma courses offered by National Sugar Institute need to make registrations by filling out the NSI Admission Test application form 2026.

All eligible applicants must get a Demand Draft of requisite amount depending upon their category ready with themselves before applying online. They shall be asked to provide the Demand Draft details in the Online Application Form. Cash, Cheques, Postal Orders, or Money Orders will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Yes, the scholarship had arrived, however, the last date to apply for scholarships was January 15, 2024. Students had to apply through the NSP 2.0 portal.

The purpose of conducting the NSI Admission Test is to select candidates for admission to various postgraduate Diploma and certificate courses in the field of food Science and technology at the National Sugar Institute (NSI) in Kanpur, India. 

There are 8 post graduate Diploma courses provided by the National Sugar Instititute. Out of that, 7 courses doesnot require any work experience for appearing in the NSI Admission Test 2026 examination. However, a course named "Sugar Boiling Certificate Course" required a prior exeprience of one season (minimum 90 days) of pan-operation in a vaccum pan sugar Factory along with nomination.

The minimum qualification required for pusuing ANSI (ST) Diploma course is as follow:

1. First of all, the passing degree must be from recognized Institute/ School/ College/ Polytechnic/ University).
2. An aspirant must pass their BSc with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or BSc (Sugar Science & Technology) awarded by SNSI, Belgavi or Graduation in Food Technology.

Diploma holders of this course are usually appointed to the posts of Manufacturing Chemist, Lab Incharge and Assistant Manager  (Process) etc. in Sugar andallied Units.
