For admission to Ocean Engineering courses, the time involved can vary from one college to another because every institute follows a certain set of guidelines for giving admission to students. Generally, it can take up to a few months for you to get the final seat as there are a lot of formalities involved.

You need to fill out the college application forms, give entrance tests, wait for results, apply for college counseling after result announcement, seat allotment, course fee payment, etc.

For getting admission to courses in Ocean Engineering, you should meet the eligibility requirements set by colleges. For BTech, you should have at least 50 to 60% marks in the PCM subjects. For an M Tech degree, you should have completed your graduation in Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Marine Engg. with at least 55% marks in the final exams. Rest, you need to give relevant entrance tests for admission.
