No, direct admission is not applicable at CUTM Balasore. Admission to all the courses at the college is entrance-based. Candidates need to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria before applying to their desired programme. The final selection is done based on candidates' scores of CUEE exam conducted by CUTM.

Most of the admissions for Undergraduates and postgraduate courses in B Tech and MBA follow entrance exams like CUEE, JEE Main or CAT while entrance-based admissions shall be accepted, and for all other courses shall be eligible based on merits of a candidate appearing from the qualifying examination.
