If you are interested in engineering field, then go for B.Tech.
If you are interested in Science stream means go for B.Sc. Both have good scope. All courses are good. Select what you want to do.

Now a days, petroleum engineers got handsome salaries and huge demand. USA is the first position for petroleum engineers which offers a minimum salary package of $140k.

UPES is a good option for petroleum engineering and their placement for petroleum engineering is good too.

Both these branches presently are sought after by students that means there will be glut in job market with these two specialisations. This can cause some pressure on placement but presently it has a good scope.

Geology is a better option.

Yes,you can but you have to qualify the JELET entrance exam then you can get the lateral entry to the college.
