Pharm.D is a six-year professional programme combining five years of academic study with one year of clinical internship. It focuses on clinical pharmacy, therapeutics, drug interactions, and hospital pharmacy training. The course is recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India and equips graduates to work as clinical pharmacists in hospitals or pharmaceutical industries. While Pharm.D holders use the “Dr.” prefix professionally due to their clinical expertise, it is not equivalent to an MBBS degree. Career paths include working in hospital pharmacies, pharmacovigilance, and pursuing research or higher studies in healthcare fields.

Candidates who have completed Class 12 with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology as optional subjects individually are eligible to apply for BPharm at  ICFAI University Jaipur. Final year students applying for this course need to complete their examinations including practical/ viva, assigments before the deadline to apply for BPharm. Such applicants also need to produce a certificate at the time of admission.

The total fees for Kurukshetra Univeristy BPharma courses is INR 4.2 lakh. The Kurukshetra Univeristy BPharma fees is charged on a annual basis with each instalment being INR 1.05 lakh. The instalment for the first year may differ due to the additional charges added to the first semester for admission purposes. KLE Academy, Belagavi offers a 2-year D.Pharm programme that is approved by the PCI, AICTE, and NBA. Candidates must have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Math and must be at least 17 years of age. Admission through KAHER-AIET is required. The annual fees is around INR 75,500. Classes are conducted at the KLE College of Pharmacy.
